PickupPals started with a simple frustration: finding a game to play was harder than the game itself.
Why we built it
Anyone who plays pickup knows the drill. You want a game, so you text five people, check two Facebook groups, and refresh a group chat that went quiet in March. Half the time you give up and stay home. The sport was never the hard part — the logistics were.
PickupPals puts every local game on one map. Spot a game near you, join in a tap, or post your own and let players come to you. It works across every sport in the app, keeps an optional rating for the competitive crowd, and remembers your season so you can look back on it.
We built it in Vancouver, for the parks and rec centres and courts we actually play on — and for anyone, anywhere, who just wants a game.
